Core Values

The values we hold form the foundation on which we perform our work.

The Core Values of Bethesda Health Clinic

Partnership

We work with others, including volunteers, members of the community, churches, businesses, and donors, as needed to achieve our aims.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10; 12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But woe to him who is alone when falls, For he has no one to help him up. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. NIV

Adaptability

We remain open and responsive to new possibilities, and readily change as needed to realize those possibilities.

Proverbs 18:15 Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights.

Volunteerism

We view volunteers, who bring meaningful experience and deep passion, as an integral and essential part of our team.

1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms NIV

Excellence

We continually strive to enhance our effectiveness, understanding that this effort is an ongoing journey.

Philippians 4:8 Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. NLT

Reverence for Christ

We look to Scripture to inform everything we do.

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. NIV

Stewardship

We are thrifty and accountable, and make wise use of our resources.

Matthew 25:23 His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness! NIV

Bethesda Health Clinic stands firmly against racism, ethnic discrimination and any other forms of oppression. We serve our community with open arms and welcome people of all backgrounds to find hope and healing at the clinic. We work to empower all of our patients, especially those who have been marginalized in the past, and hope that the care at the clinic is a direct reflection of the love of Jesus Christ.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34
