Leave a Legacy
Change lives with affordable healthcare,
while still supporting those you love.
What will your legacy be?
“We believe in what Bethesda does and want to see them grow. We want the organization to have a lot of long-term stability and this is a great way to help.” Susan & Steve Smith
A Legacy of Hope
Since its inception, Bethesda Health Clinic has been blessed with devoted and generous donors committed to our mission of providing healthcare for the working uninsured and underinsured. We know that you, our donors, trust the leadership of the clinic to be responsible stewards of your gifts and to use our resources wisely to provide the highest quality care in the most fiscally responsible way.
If Bethesda is to continue its ministry of care for the whole person in the years to come, we must lay the foundation now. You can ensure that Bethesda’s ministry continues in the future by making a legacy gift today.
There are many ways to give to the future – a bequest in your estate plans, naming Bethesda as a beneficiary of your IRA or insurance plan, etc. Your professional advisor will help you find the vehicle that is best for you, your family and for Bethesda.

A Gift in Your Will
A gift in your will is one of the simplest ways to provide for Bethesda’s future.
You may arrange for Bethesda to receive:
- A specific dollar amount
- Specified assets, such as real estate, stocks or personal property
- All or a portion of the remainder of your estate, after all other obligations are taken care of
If you are preparing a new will, you may include bequest language, or you may add a codicil to your present will.
Gifts to Operations or Gifts to Bethesda’s Endowment
Some donors wish to designate their estate gifts to support Bethesda’s operations at the time the gift is received. Others wish to make a gift to Bethesda’s endowment, a permanent fund that will support Bethesda’s mission for decades to come.
The beauty of a gift to Bethesda’s endowment is that it is a gift that will “continue to give because the gift will be permanently invested and its income will be used in the way the donor specifies. With gifts of $25,000 or more to Bethesda’s endowment, a donor may name an endowed fund. This privilege creates the opportunity to honor or remember a relative, friend or even a special medical provider.
Whatever your preference for giving to the future of Bethesda, we welcome your gifts and are grateful that you share our commitment to the highest quality care for the whole person, now and for decades to come. We encourage you and your professional advisor to work with Bethesda’s development staff to ensure that your gift is structured just as you want it to be and that it will accomplish your goals over time.

The Jewel Society
When you plan a legacy gift to Bethesda Health Clinic, we welcome you to membership in the Jewel Society, a special group whose commitment to the mission of the clinic has led them to continue their support to Bethesda beyond their lifetime.
Named for Jewel Price, a generous supporter of Bethesda in her lifetime, and the donor of the first planned gift to Bethesda, the Jewel Society celebrates those who have made a gift as part of their estate planning. If you have included a gift to Bethesda in your estate plan, we hope you will let us know so that we have an opportunity to simply say “thank you and let you know how much we appreciate your thoughtfulness.
